Casaforte Self Storage

Casaforte calls its self-storage rooms "Hotel delle Cose" and aims them at temporary space needs, for instance during a move, a renovation, the wait for a new apartment, or seasonal storage. Customers store furniture, appliances, household goods, sports equipment, boxes and collections, alongside solutions for companies, professionals and students, plus a document archive. Each renter manages their own access and arms the unit's alarm on leaving.

The setup is flexible: you book only the space and the duration you need, from a few weeks to a month, several months or a year, and you can adjust the box size as needed. If you don't have a suitable vehicle or want sturdy boxes, you can add transport and packing materials to your booking. Casaforte says it runs seven active centers in Switzerland, in Basel and in Ticino (Lugano, Mendrisio, Bedano, Grancia and Bellinzona), and introduced the concept in Switzerland more than 25 years ago.
