placeB runs more than 50 self-storage locations across German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland, 18 of them in the Zurich area, covering among others Aargau, Basel, Bern, Geneva, Fribourg, Lucerne, St. Gallen, Solothurn, Thurgau, Vaud, Valais, Winterthur, Zug, Glarus and Schaffhausen. Depending on the location, boxes range from 1 to 50 m³ and take in personal items, business stock and documents. They are heated and dry, monitored by video around the clock, and fitted with modern security systems.

Access is controlled entirely through the placeB app, available anytime around the clock, though the door lock requires an internet connection; you can grant access to people you trust. Rentals start at one week, with a seven-day risk-free trial, and the smallest unit measures 1 m³. At some locations you can also rent moving boxes as a "LeihBOX."
