Boxly Self-Storage

Boxly grades its units from a small locker for around twelve moving boxes and two suitcases, through medium sizes, up to a mega unit with the volume of several rooms. That covers almost everything from seasonal gear to a full apartment's furniture, and if you sized it wrong, you can switch to a different box. Every unit sits in a regulated climate, dry and warm, with alarms, video surveillance in the access areas, plus heat and motion sensors.

Access runs through the Boxly app, from 6 am to 10 pm by default, or around the clock on request, and you can grant access to other people too. Rentals start at seven days with no fixed notice period, and the price steps down for longer bookings. On site there are trolleys, and at some locations loading ramps and a lift, plus free WiFi and parking. The facilities operate in Dubendorf near Zurich, in Basel's Gundeldingen district, and in Kriens near Lucerne; advice is available in German and English.
